Today, Sidali Zerrougui, Minister of Post and Telecommunications, held an evaluation meeting for the sector with mobile phone operators Geezy, Ooredoo and Mobilis, in the presence of the head of the Postal and Electronic Communications Control Authority, devoted to assessing the quality of the network and enhancing coverage, especially in rural areas, according to a ministry statement.
According to the same statement, during the meeting, the Minister stressed the need to improve the quality of services and hold customers fully responsible for their legal responsibilities, with an emphasis on respecting terms and conditions of coverage and quality of service. He also called on the same customers to submit a written commitment to a catch-up program to address the recorded deficiencies.
By the way, the Minister stressed the importance of regular communication with citizens and informing them of any technical defect or scheduled maintenance work, in addition to the necessity of ensuring that road axes, especially in the south, are covered before June, even with the minimum services, especially with regard to calling the ambulance number.
At the conclusion of the meeting, it was agreed to set clear deadlines for completing coverage before the end of the current year, with an emphasis on periodic follow-up of the implementation of commitments, ensuring a tangible and sustainable improvement in the quality of the network.
