Establishment of the Sahrawi Football Federation from Algeria – New Algeria

Today, Wednesday, in Algeria, the establishment of the Sahrawi Football Federation was officially announced.

This historic announcement came during an official ceremony held at the Mazafran Hotel in Zeralda, Algiers.

The announcement of the establishment of the Arab Republic Football Federation comes in the context of the Sahrawi people’s efforts to consolidate their presence in the international sports arena.

Sahrawi football officials chose Algeria to announce the establishment of the Football Association, in a symbolic step that reflects the determination of the Sahrawis to continue their path in building their institutions. And their adherence to their national identity.

This announcement came ahead of another special sporting event, which will be held next Friday evening at the Nelson Mandela Stadium in Baraki, an exhibition match between the national team of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic and a team of former Algerian international players.

The exhibition match, scheduled to start at 16:30, is organized by the Algerian National Committee for Solidarity with the Sahrawi People, coinciding with the fiftieth anniversary of the founding of the Sahrawi Republic.
