The government meeting discusses several important files

During its weekly meeting, the government discussed the annual outcome of implementing the directives and instructions of the President of the Republic that he gave during the sixth meeting that brought together the government with the governors, on December 24 and 25, 2024, in addition to other important files.
According to a statement by the Prime Minister’s interests, Prime Minister Seifi Gharib chaired, on Wednesday, a government meeting devoted to studying several points.
In this regard, the statement explained, “The government studied the annual outcome of implementing the directives and instructions of the President of the Republic that he gave during the sixth meeting that brought together the government and the governors, on December 24 and 25, 2024, as well as the recommendations emerging from this meeting, which relate in particular to continuing the dynamics of local development, enhancing food and water security, strengthening the role of local authorities in creating wealth and job opportunities, modernizing local public services, and reforming the city’s urban administration to ensure a high-quality living environment for citizens.”
The Prime Minister’s statement of interests added, “The government also studied, in a second reading, a project to launch communications services via satellites in non-stationary orbit. The goal envisaged by launching these services via satellites is to develop access to high-flow Internet across the entire national territory, especially in rural and isolated areas, and to strengthen national sovereignty in this strategic area.”
Yesterday (Monday), the Prime Minister chaired a meeting of the Joint Ministerial Council, devoted to studying the progress of the integrated phosphate project, which is structured at the level of three states: Tebessa, Souk Ahras and Annaba.
This is an important project to develop the national mining and industrial sector, which is rich in exploitable reserves amounting to 840 million tons of phosphate, and aims to produce an annual production of 10.5 million tons of raw phosphate.
On this occasion, a number of measures were taken with the aim of strengthening coordination between sectors and mobilizing all necessary means to meet the deadlines set by the President of the Republic in order to complete this project on time, scheduled for the end of 2026.
