“2026 SEISMEX”…advanced maneuvers to rescue victims under Al-Radom – New Algeria

Today, Tuesday, the national exercise SEISMEX 2026 witnessed the implementation of advanced rescue operations using a helicopter, known as Hélitreuillage, a technique adopted by civil protection teams in cases where reaching victims via ambulances becomes difficult or impossible.

According to a statement by the Civil Protection Services, the operation included coordination between several specialized teams to ensure that the victims were rescued as quickly as possible. Search and rescue teams under the rubble took on the task of extracting people trapped under the rubble after buildings collapsed or earthquakes occurred. At the same time, rugged search and rescue teams recovered victims from difficult, high-altitude areas that were difficult to reach.

As for the air teams, they were responsible for carrying out air evacuation operations and quickly transporting the victims to collection points, where the medical ambulance teams received them directly to ensure that they were quickly and safely transported to hospitals to receive appropriate treatment.

Civil Protection confirmed that this joint operation represents an advanced model of coordination between ground, air and medical intervention, which enhances the efficiency of emergency response and ensures the protection of lives in various circumstances.
