Bougali reinforces solidarity with the Sahrawi people in a meeting with his ambassador to Algeria – Algerian Al-Hiwar newspaper

Today, Tuesday, the President of the National People’s Assembly, Ibrahim Boughali, received the Ambassador of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic to Algeria, Khatri Adoh Khatri, in a meeting during which he discussed the fraternal relations between the two brotherly peoples and ways to enhance cooperation and coordination between the two legislative institutions.

Boughali reiterated Algeria’s firm position in support of the right of the Sahrawi people to self-determination, in accordance with international legitimacy and relevant United Nations resolutions, stressing that Algeria’s support for the Sahrawi issue remains a fundamental pillar of its foreign policies.

The Sahrawi ambassador praised the prominent role played by the National People’s Assembly through parliamentary diplomacy, explaining that the Sahrawi Parliament draws inspiration from the Algerian experience, especially in the areas of legislation and development of the legal system, in a way that enhances national capabilities and strengthens cooperation frameworks between the two institutions.

During the meeting, the two sides stressed the continuation of dialogue and the development of partnership frameworks to deepen political and legislative solidarity, in a way that serves common issues and enhances the unity of positions at the regional and international levels.
