Parliament evaluates the work of information missions – New Algeria

Assigned by the president National People’s AssemblyToday, Tuesday, February 10, 2026, the Vice President of the Council, Mohamed Nini, Ibrahim Boghali, chaired a working session to present and evaluate the outcomes of the inquiry missions carried out by the Culture, Tourism and Communication Committee.

In an opening speech, Mohamed Nini stressed that this meeting falls within the framework of the directives of the President of the National People’s Assembly, Ibrahim Bougali, aimed at following up and embodying the outcomes of the temporary information missions to achieve the desired goals.

The report presented by the Chairman of the Committee, Masoud Karma, stated that the Committee carried out, during the months of November 2025 and January 2026, two information missions, the first in the governorates of Ain Temouchent and Mascara, and the second in the governorate of Algiers, with the aim of identifying the reality and prospects of the culture, tourism and communication sectors and listening to the concerns of the various actors in them.

The two missions inspected many tourist, cultural and media areas and structures in these states, including hotel and public establishments, entertainment venues, in addition to historical and archaeological monuments, cinema halls, theatres, and higher schools of music, arts and culture, as well as media institutions. They also held meetings with local officials and investors in which they listened to their various concerns and proposals.

The committee’s mission in these states monitored a number of concerns and observations related mainly to the necessity of providing facilities and privileges to investors in the tourism sector, restoring and rehabilitating facilities, andPublic tourism structuresWorking to protect, preserve and value archaeological sites and cultural monuments, and support media institutions with financial and human resources.
