The Army Magazine said that Algeria has today become a major workshop open to strategic projects, through which it is progressing steadily, despite attempts at confusion and deception, which is embodied in the achievements achieved during the month of February, most notably the official launch of the exploitation of the Bashar-Tindouf-Gara-Jbeilat mining railway and the launch of the first shipments of iron ore, in a historic step that reflects a strong political will to build a national economy free of dependency.

The magazine added, saying: “This month, our country is experiencing a major historic achievement after the President of the Republic, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and the Minister of National Defense, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, officially announced the launch of the exploitation of the western mining railway line Bashar – Tindouf – Gaara Jbeilat, which extends over a distance of 950 kilometers, and gave the signal for the start of a train transporting the first shipments of iron ore from the Gaara Jbeilat mine towards Oran, passing through Bechar.

The editorial of the magazine in its February issue highlighted that this giant strategic project, the inauguration of which, as the President of the Republic confirmed in his speech on this occasion, is “a moment in which we stand on one of the steps of embodying a historic strategic national achievement that was always mentioned as an unattainable dream.”

The editorial also highlighted the strengthening of Algeria at the end of last month with two new satellites, Alsat-3 and Alsat 3B, as part of the tireless efforts to control space technologies, ensuring the advancement of the defense system in the field of geospatial information.

The magazine considered that these strategic achievements come while Algeria is experiencing the scent of many immortal occasions that the month of February is full of, in which the National Day of the Martyr is celebrated, and the Saqia Sidi Youssef massacre is remembered, which confirmed the cohesion and solidarity of the brotherly Algerian and Tunisian peoples and reflected the barbarism and brutality of the French occupation.
