CAF Champions League: A draw is enough for MC Algiers to qualify

Excitement increased as the conclusion of the group stage of the African Champions League approached, especially in the third group, which includes the national football representative, Mouloudia Algiers.
The decision on the identity of the qualifiers for the quarter-finals was postponed, after Mouloudia Algeria succeeded in reaching the seventh point after overthrowing the leaders, Sudanese club Al-Hilal, and reducing the gap over them to one point.
Good news continued for the house of the first professional league champion in the last two seasons. After the end of the second match of the same group at TP Mazembe Stadium in Congo.
Congolese club St. Iloa Lobobo tied with its guest, Mamelodi Sundowns, 1-1, in their confrontation on Sunday afternoon.
Mouloudia Algiers needs to return with a draw point from Pretoria, next Saturday, in order to secure the visa to qualify for the quarter-finals of the African Champions League.
Goalkeeper Alexis Guendouz’s teammates will face the local team, Mamelodi Sundowns, at Lucas Moripe Stadium.
The match will be special for Chenawa coach, Rulani Mokwena, as he will face the team he led to achieve local and continental titles in the recent past.
The first leg at the Martyr Ali Ammar “La Pointe” stadium in Douira ended in a goalless draw.
On the contrary, the same result will not serve the locals next week due to their current position in the table, where they are one point behind Mohammed bin Khamsa’s companions.
Unlike the three clubs, MC, Sun Downs and Lupopo; Sudanese Al-Hilal put one foot forward in the first knockout round.
Al Hilal benefits from the advantage of receiving the Congolese team, Bobo, in the final round, in order to claim first place.
