Nasseri chairs an expanded meeting of the National Assembly office – New Algeria

Today, Sunday, Azouz Nasseri, Speaker of the National Assembly, chaired a meeting of the Office of the Enlarged Council of heads of parliamentary groups and the parliamentary observer, devoted to presenting the list of representatives of the National Assembly in the two equal-member committees, regarding the provisions in dispute between the two chambers of Parliament regarding the text of the law containing the traffic law and the text of the law criminalizing the French colonization of Algeria, as well as programming the plenary session to present the list of representatives of the National Assembly in the two equal-member committees.
At the beginning of the meeting, the National Assembly Office, headed by Azouz Nasseri, highly valued the important statements made by Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, President of the Republic, during his regular meeting with the national media, which reflect his constant keenness to fortify the home front, strengthen confidence between state institutions and citizens, and consolidate the path of a victorious Algeria, strong in its constants, sovereignty and independent decisions.
The National Assembly Office, headed by Azouz Nasseri, also renewed its full and responsible involvement in this comprehensive national endeavor, affirming that the legislative institution stands united behind the country’s supreme leadership, and supports all efforts aimed at protecting the supreme and vital interests of the nation.
In the same context, the Council’s office denounced in the strongest terms the advocates of defeatism and skepticism, and the attempts to spread frustration and undermine confidence in state institutions, stressing that Algeria is fortified and fortified by its rational leadership, by its People’s National Army, descendant of the Liberation Army, and by its people who are conscious and clinging to their sovereignty, and who reject all forms of foreign interference or infringement of their independent national decision.

With regard to the meeting’s agenda, the National Assembly Office has seized the two lists of representatives of the National Assembly in the two equal-member committees regarding the provisions in dispute between the two chambers of Parliament regarding the text of the law containing the traffic law and the text of the law criminalizing the French colonization of Algeria. It was also decided, in accordance with Article 87, paragraph 2, of the National Assembly’s bylaws, to hold a public session at noon on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, to present and determine the position regarding the two lists.
