Training judges in human rights, real estate disputes, and combating the financing of terrorism – Algerian Al-Hiwar newspaper

From 8 to 12 February 2026, 25 judges will participate in a specialized training course on human rights for the benefit of investigative, prosecutorial and criminal judges, within the framework of cooperation with the Higher School of the Judiciary.

The course aims to enhance the integration of international human rights standards into judicial work, especially after the recent amendments to the Code of Criminal Procedure, and to promote the principles of fair trial, in line with Algeria’s international obligations.

In the same context, 25 judges benefit from a continuing training course on real estate disputes, and others from a course on the civil division judge, during the same period, with the aim of updating knowledge and keeping pace with legislative and regulatory developments.

On February 10, 2026, a judge will also participate in an online symposium on indicators of suspicious financial activities, within the framework of the European cooperation program CT-INFLOW2 to combat terrorism. The symposium addresses mechanisms for monitoring terrorist financing, especially high-risk financial and behavioral indicators.
