Algerian-Spanish discussions in Madrid to enhance bilateral cooperation – New Algeria

Today in the Spanish capital, Madrid, Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, the National Community Abroad, and African Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, held a bilateral working session with his Spanish counterpart, José Manuel Albares Bueno, within the framework of an official working visit by the Minister to the Kingdom of Spain.

According to the ministry’s statement, during the meeting, the two parties reviewed the reality of cooperation and partnership relations between Algeria and Spain, with a focus on the prospects for strengthening them in various fields, including energy, trade, investment, and transportation, in addition to judicial and consular cooperation.

The two ministers stressed the importance of taking advantage of the upcoming visit of the Spanish Minister to Algeria to prepare optimally for holding the eighth session of the Algerian-Spanish high-level meeting.

In the same context, the two parties exchanged views on international and regional issues of common interest, especially developments in the Sahel-Saharan region and common challenges in the Euro-Mediterranean space, reflecting the commitment of the two countries to strengthening dialogue and strategic coordination.
