The Prime Minister chairs a meeting to follow up on the progress of the Annaba port expansion and mining quay – Algerian Al-Hiwar newspaper

Today, Saturday, Prime Minister Seifi Gharib chaired a meeting devoted to following up on the progress of the Annaba Port Expansion Project, especially the completion of the mining quay included within the Integrated Phosphate Project.
This meeting took place within the framework of the Prime Minister’s working visit to the state of Annaba, in the presence of the Minister of State, Minister of Hydrocarbons and Mines, Mohamed Arkab, Minister of Interior, Local Communities and Transport, Saeed Saioud, Minister of Public Works and Basic Installations, Abdelkader Glaoui, along with Minister of Industry, Yahya Bashir, and Minister of Mujahideen and Persons of Rights, Abdelmalek Tashrift.
The meeting was also attended by the Governor of Annaba State, Lamori Abdel Karim, along with officials supervising the project and representatives of various companies and institutions involved in its completion.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister recalled the instructions of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, especially those related to the necessity of accelerating the pace of completion of the mining quay within the Annaba Port expansion project.
The Prime Minister stressed the importance of completing the project by the end of 2026, given its strategic nature and its pivotal role in supporting options for economic diversification and gradual liberation from dependence on fuels.
