Minister Gharib inspects the progress of Annaba Port expansion work – New Algeria

Prime Minister Seifi Gharib arrived today, Saturday, in the state of Annaba on a working and inspection visit, devoted to checking the progress of the Annaba port expansion works, especially the completion of the mining quay that is part of the integrated phosphate project.
According to a statement by the ministry’s departments, the Prime Minister was accompanied on this visit by the Minister of State, the Minister of Energy, Mines and Renewable Energies, Mohamed Arkab, and the Minister of the Interior, Local Communities and Transport, Saeed Saeed. And the Minister of Public Works and Basic Installations, Abdelkader Glaoui. The Minister of Industry, Yahya Bashir, and the Minister of Mujahideen and Rightsholders, Abdelmalek Tashrift.
This visit falls within the framework of implementing the instructions of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, regarding the necessity of accelerating the pace of completion of the mining berth within the Annaba Port expansion project, given its strategic importance in supporting the national phosphate chain. Enhancing the port’s ability to receive major shipments and improving the flow of exports to global markets.
