Published in the latest issue of Official Gazette (No. 10) Decision extending the deadline for collecting car vouchers for the year 2026 until May 31, 2026 at four o’clock (16:00) in the afternoon.
The decision, signed by Finance Minister Abdel Karim Bou Zard, stated that this extension gives vehicle owners an additional period to settle their tax status related to the car voucher.
The Ministry of Finance has previously launched an electronic platform that allows citizens to pay the car voucher remotely and download it electronically, attached to the payment receipt, without the need to place it on the windshield of the vehicle.
In the same context, the regulation stipulates that the electronic payment receipt for purchasing the voucher is exempt from the stamp duty. If the voucher is damaged or lost, it can be reprinted without paying any additional rights when purchased electronically.
It is noteworthy that reprinting the voucher purchased via direct cash payment, in cases of damage, loss or theft, requires paying royalties estimated at 200 Algerian dinars.
