The military has reached a high level in controlling space technology

The President of the National People’s Assembly, Ibrahim Bougali, stressed the strengthening of institutional performance and the exercise of constitutional powers in legislation, oversight, and accompanying government work, adding that the People’s National Army has reached a high level in controlling space technology through highly qualified national competencies, and that its efforts in combating terrorism, organized crime, and drug trafficking networks are continuous and determined to protect the security and stability of the state.

Boghali added during a meeting of the Council’s office that putting the Ghar Jbeilat mine into service, under the supervision of the President of the Republic, is a sovereign and strategic project that constitutes a fundamental pillar for the structural transformation of the national economy, and its exploitation aims to strengthen economic sovereignty, reduce dependency on external sources of supply, and create wealth and jobs.

Bogli explained that the entry into exploitation of the Ghar Jbeilat-Tindouf-Bashar-Oran mine line enhances regional connectivity and integrates the southwest into the economic cycle, and that the launch of the Alsat-3B satellite after Alsat-3A reflects Algeria’s advanced level in exact sciences and space technology, highlighting that satellites strengthen the national security system by supporting surveillance, sensing, control of sovereign data, and disaster management.

The President of the Council affirmed that the People’s National Army has reached a high level in controlling space technology through highly qualified national competencies, and that the army’s efforts in combating terrorism, organized crime, and drug smuggling networks are continuing and determined to protect the security and stability of the state. He also said that the recent qualitative operation demonstrated the high readiness and effectiveness of the security doctrine in protecting borders and thwarting hostile plans.

Bogali concluded by noting that the rapid intervention and tight coordination in the face of exceptional weather conditions reflect the state’s ability and the citizen’s awareness and responsible response, stressing that the National People’s Assembly continues to accompany public policies, support the development path, and consolidate confidence between the citizen and state institutions.

In another context, the Legal and Administrative Affairs and Liberties Committee held a meeting, chaired by Abdelkader Toumi, Chairman of the Committee, devoted to studying the provisions of the draft law that amends and supplements Law No. 84-09 of February 4, 1984, relating to regional organization. The meeting took place in the presence of representatives of the Ministry of Interior, Local Communities and Transport, and the Ministry of Relations with Parliament.
