Statement to the Council-The reality and prospects of Algerian-Cuban bilateral relations, praising their strength, historical and humanitarian depth, and the solid principles on which they are based, based on mutual respect, non-interference in the internal affairs of countries, and solidarity between peoples. He also recalled the firm and principled support that the Republic of Cuba provided to the Algerian liberation revolution, politically, diplomatically and militarily, in a sincere expression of the solidarity of revolutions and peoples fighting for freedom.
Nasseri also highlighted that this historic commitment culminated in the day after independence, by sending the first Cuban medical mission to Algeria in 1963, in a pioneering humanitarian initiative that embodied the depth and sincerity of the bonds of friendship that have continued to unite the two countries to this day.

They also stressed their common keenness to raise economic and technical cooperation to the level of the excellent political relations that unite the two countries, and to expand areas of partnership to include the sectors of energy, water resources, culture, and sports, in line with development requirements and respond to common challenges, in a natural extension of a rich history.
