The Minister of State, Minister confirmed Foreign Affairs of the Republic Portugal, Paulo Rangel, described the relations between his country and Algeria as “excellent” and “special,” expressing his hope that his visit to Algeria would constitute an opportunity to strengthen them further.
Rangel said, in a statement following the reception given to him by the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, yesterday, Tuesday: “I was honored to be received by the President of the Republic, and I am happy to visit Algeria, which is an opportunity to create the conditions necessary to strengthen bilateral relations, which are already excellent and special.”
The Portuguese Minister indicated that the meeting dealt with a reality Relationships Between Algeria and Portugal, which share the same values, as well as the prospects for these bilateral relations in the future, and the very important relations that link Algeria with the European Union. He added that he discussed with the President of the Republic international issues, especially “the Middle East, conflicts in Africa, and the situation in the Sahel region.”
On the other hand, the Portuguese Foreign Minister mentioned, on this occasion, the content of his “in-depth and detailed meeting” with the Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, the National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Ahmed Attaf.
