The Minister of State receives the Portuguese Foreign Minister to enhance bilateral cooperation – Algerian Al-Hiwar newspaper

The Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, the National Community Abroad, and African Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, received today at the Ministry’s headquarters his Portuguese counterpart, Paulo Rangel, in an initial meeting followed by extensive talks that included members of the delegations of the two countries.

The meeting witnessed a review of various aspects of cooperation between Algeria and Portugal, in the context of the two countries’ commemoration last year of the fiftieth anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations, and the twentieth anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Friendship, Good Neighborhood and Cooperation.

The two ministers also discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations in various fields, in preparation for holding the sixth high-level Algerian-Portuguese meeting.
