The Algerian express mail company EMS Champion Post Algérie announced today, Tuesday, the official launch of the Smartbox-Champion locker service, within the framework of a pilot phase that includes four states: Algiers, Oran, Setif and Ghardaia.
These automated lockers for self-use provide a modern and safe solution for receiving and sending packages 24 hours a day, without being restricted by working hours, which enhances the quality of service and brings it closer to citizens.
These lockers were designed to be located in commercial centers, public housing districts, and self-service spaces affiliated with the Algeria Post, in line with population density and urban reality.
The Smartbox-Champion service was developed in partnership with an Algerian startup and based on local competencies and materials, in a step that reflects support for national innovation and accelerating the digitization of parcel delivery services across the various states of the country.
The Express Post Corporation also seeks to gradually expand this network to include more than 2,000 smart lockers across 69 states during the years 2026 and 2027, with the aim of enhancing geographical coverage and facilitating the receipt of packages in a safe, flexible and practical manner, especially for the benefit of e-commerce customers.
