Parties and organizations: The western mining line is a strategic gain for Algeria – New Algeria

Today, Monday, political parties and national organizations praised the official launch of the exploitation of the western mining line of Gara Jbeilat-Tindouf-Bashar, under the supervision of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, considering it a qualitative achievement that strengthens Algeria’s strategic position.

In this context, the National Liberation Front Party appreciated the inauguration of this line, describing it as a “historic and qualitative” achievement, highlighting that “Algeria, under the leadership of the President of the Republic, is proceeding with steadfastness and determination on the path of strengthening its economic sovereignty and consolidating its strategic position.”

The party added that the official launch of the railway line on the specified date reflects “the presence of a real political will to develop the various regions of the country and move forward with the implementation of major strategic projects that will directly benefit the citizen and pave the way for placing Algeria among the ranks of emerging countries during the next few years.”

He pointed out that Algeria, “thanks to the hands of its people and the loyalty of its officials, will continue the process of building and construction and will not pay attention to some voices that are disturbed by every qualitative achievement achieved by Algeria within the framework of embodying the promising program of the President of the Republic.”

For its part, the Algeria Amal Rally Party considered the launch of the Western Mining Line and the actual commencement of the exploitation of the Gara Jbeilat mine “a sovereign decision par excellence,” a “strategic choice,” and a stage in the path of “building a productive national economy based on investing natural resources and transforming them into a real economic force.”

The party pointed out that this giant structural project “does not fall within the framework of a technical or circumstantial achievement only, but rather reflects a profound transformation in the philosophy of the state’s economic management,” and confirms “the supreme political will to restore national control over strategic resources, and direct them to serve development and strengthen sovereign economic decision-making.”

He highlighted that the Gara Jbeilat mine, with its “huge national wealth, is no longer just an untapped reserve, but has become a symbol of a new Algeria, establishing an industrial productive economy capable of creating wealth and providing sustainable jobs.”

The party praised linking the exploitation of the mine to the launch of the Western Mining Line, considering that this establishes “an integrated vision for the state based on effectively integrating the southwest into the national economic cycle and transforming major infrastructure into sovereign tools for economic decision-making in line with the major directions of the ongoing economic reforms led by the President of the Republic.”

The Future Front highlighted the importance of this huge structural project, which “clearly embodies the development vision of the Algerian state based on building a productive and diversified economy and gradually disengaging from hydrocarbons by directing investment towards vital sectors with high added value, most notably the mining sector and manufacturing industries.”

The party considered that this achievement represents “a real lever for the development of the states of the south and southwest by creating a new economic dynamism, providing jobs and strengthening connectivity between the regions in a way that establishes developmental justice and national integration.”

For its part, the National Construction Movement touched upon the inauguration by the President of the Republic of one of the most important iron mines in the world, noting that it is “a step that is the first of its kind in the history of Algeria since independence, qualifying it to become one of the largest suppliers of iron ore,” and concluded that Algeria “today is experiencing a decisive and pivotal stage in its contemporary history through the unprecedented gains and achievements achieved in various fields.”

In a statement, the Algerian Islamic Scouts praised this “major strategic step that reflects the sincere political will to build a strong and diversified national economy,” considering this huge project “a very important sovereign and development gain,” because of its “positive repercussions on strengthening the mining industry, revitalizing the economic movement, and supporting Algeria’s position as a regional economic actor.”
