Prime Minister Sifi Gharib arrived today, Monday, in the city of Oran to monitor the arrival and unloading of the first shipments of iron ore extracted from the Gara Jbeilat mine and destined for the Tosyali iron and steel complex.
According to a statement by the Prime Minister’s interests, he was accompanied on this visit by a high-level ministerial delegation, commissioned by the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, as part of the ceremonial ceremony for putting into service the mining train linking Gara Jbeilat, Bashar and Oran.
This strategic project is considered a pivotal step to value national resources in the mining sector and enhance the capabilities of the local iron and steel industry, thus contributing to supporting the path of economic diversification, achieving sustainable development and raising the added value of the national economy. The project also reflects the state’s keenness to develop industrial infrastructure and link production areas to major economic centers to ensure effective supply and achieve high economic returns.
