Annaba Port…the container transport train is usually launched towards this destination! – New Algeria

Today, Sunday, the Governor of Annaba State, Abdelkarim Lamouri, supervised the signal for the relaunch of the container transport train from the port of Annaba towards the dry port in Al-Alalik, at a distance of 40 kilometers.

According to a statement by the state’s interests, the governor stressed the economic importance of this process, as it enables containers to be transported smoothly and in a larger volume, which reflects positively on reducing port saturation and maintaining the safety of road infrastructure.

This step will also contribute to raising the performance of the port facility and improving its operational efficiency, in addition to reducing logistical costs for the benefit of economic operators, while diversifying logistical transport patterns and increasing the frequency of container exit from the port.

In this context, the National Railway Corporation allocated in the first phase 10 trailers to transport containers, with the number being doubled to 20 trailers in the coming days.
