The Minister of Labor evaluates the activity of the central frameworks and stresses the digitization of services – Algerian Al-Hiwar newspaper

The Minister of Labour, Employment and Social Security, Abdelhak Sayhi, held at the Ministry’s headquarters a working session devoted to evaluating the activities of the central administration frameworks during the period from 6 to 21 January 2026.

During the meeting, the Minister listened to detailed presentations made by the central frameworks, which reviewed the various activities accomplished, with a focus on the measures taken within the framework of continuous improvement of public service, and the extent of implementation of the instructions and directives given by the Minister during previous meetings.

By the way, the Minister of Labor issued a number of important directives, in which he stressed the necessity of strictly confronting any transgression that would harm the interests of the beneficiaries. In this context, the Inspector General of Labor was directed to intensify field outings to work sites, in order to monitor the extent of respect for labor legislation and improve working conditions, in addition to enhancing awareness-raising efforts regarding the necessity of compliance with laws and regulations that guarantee workers’ rights, especially with regard to conditions of occupational health and safety and risk prevention.

On the other hand, Sayhi stressed the importance of strengthening permanent coordination with various sectors, with the aim of enabling citizens to fully benefit from their rights, by exchanging data and documents between administrations, without burdening the beneficiaries with submitting documents that are already available to public bodies.

The Minister also renewed his directives regarding exclusive reliance on digital services, through developing interactive platforms that allow citizens to obtain their rights remotely with ease and flexibility.

In the same context, he called for the establishment of administrative complexes at the level of the new states, which include the various bodies affiliated with the sector in one space, which contributes to bringing the service closer to the citizen and reducing the difficulty of moving between departments.

At the conclusion of the session, the Minister of Labor stressed the extreme importance of continuous training of human resources in the sector, as it is a fundamental pillar for improving performance and improving the quality of public service.
