In pictures: An important ministerial delegation on a working and inspection visit to Tindouf – New Algeria

Today, Friday, an important ministerial delegation embarked on a working and inspection visit to the state of Tindouf and up to the state of Béchar, to determine the readiness of the Ghar Jbeilat-Tindouf-Béchar mining railway, extending over a distance of 950 km.

The delegation inspected the train station in the state of Tindouf, before making a test trip from Tindouf station towards Ghar Jbeilat station, as part of checking the readiness of the Ghar Jbeilat-Tindouf-Bashar mining railway.

The ministerial delegation, accompanied by the local authorities of the state, continued its field visit program, as the third leg of this visit was dedicated to inspecting the Ghar Jbeilat train station, within the framework of following up on the progress of strategic projects related to the development of mining and railway infrastructure.

At the conclusion of the working visit to the state of Tindouf, the Minister of the Interior, Local Communities and Transport, Said Saioud, accompanied by the ministerial delegation, made a field visit to the Gara Jbeilat mine, where the visit included an inspection of the temporary shipping site designated for the first batches of iron ore.

In the context of preparations for the entry into exploitation of the Western Mining Line, the Minister of the Interior, Local Communities and Transport, Said Saioud, accompanied by the ministerial delegation in the state of Bechar, arrived to determine the readiness of the Western Mineral Line, Bashar-Tindouf, Gara Jbeilat.

The delegation included the Minister of the Interior, Local Governments and Transport, Al-Saeed Saioud, accompanied by the Minister of State, the Minister of Hydrocarbons and Mines, Mohamed Arkab, the Minister of Public Works and Basic Installations, Abdelkader Glaoui, the Minister of Tourism and Traditional Industries, Houria Madahi, and the Secretary of State to the Minister of Hydrocarbons in charge of Mines, Ms. Karima Bakir Tafer, along with the Director-General of National Security and the Director-General of Civil Protection, as part of preparations for entering the line. Western mining is a field of exploitation.
