This comes within the framework of Arkab’s participation, as a representative of the President of the Republic, in the work of the International Exhibition of Mines, Quarries and Hydrocarbons “Cimica Chad 2026”, held under the high patronage of the President of the Republic of Chad, Field Marshal Mohamed Idriss Deby Itno, during the period extending from 21 to 23 January 2026, in the Chadian capital, N’Djamena.
The memorandum of understanding was signed on the Algerian side by the President and Director General of Sonatrach, Noureddine Daoudi, and on the Chadian side by the representative of the Chadian Hydrocarbons Corporation (SHT).
This memorandum aims to establish a general framework for cooperation between the two parties in the fields of hydrocarbons, especially in the activities of exploration, development, production, transportation and valuation of hydrocarbon resources, in addition to exchanging expertise and technical knowledge, enhancing training and building human capabilities, in a way that contributes to supporting the development of the hydrocarbon sector in the Republic of Chad.
The memorandum of understanding stipulates studying future partnership opportunities and developing projects of mutual benefit, with a focus on technology transfer, exchanging expertise in the technical and regulatory fields, and benefiting from the pioneering Algerian experience in managing and organizing the hydrocarbons sector.
