Algeria – Greece: Signing several agreements and bilateral cooperation memorandums – New Algeria

The Secretary of State to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, in charge of the national community abroad, Sofiane Chaib, jointly chaired with the Greek Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs in charge of Economic Diplomacy and Promotion, Harry Theoharis, the third session of the Algerian-Greek Joint Committee, held in the Greek capital, Athens, according to a ministry statement.
According to the statement, the work of this session culminated in the signing of several agreements and memorandums of understanding between the two countries, which included the areas of diplomatic training, sports, communication, the national archives, and air services.
This session also represented an opportunity to review the various aspects of cooperation between Algeria and Greece and ways to enhance it in sectors of common interest, especially in the fields of energy and renewable energies, justice, agriculture, culture, tourism, communication, modern technologies, emerging institutions, sports and transportation.
By the way, during the talks, the two sides discussed current international and regional issues, in addition to discussing the partnership between Algeria and the European Union, and the prospects for cooperation and coordination within the multilateral framework.
On the sidelines of the committee’s work, the Secretary of State held several bilateral meetings with members of the Greek government and high officials, devoted to deepening consultation and exchanging visions on ways to develop bilateral cooperation and strengthen relations between the two friendly countries.
