Cooperation partnership between Sonatrach and Suhail Bahwan Holding Group – Algerian Al-Hiwar newspaper

The Minister of State, Minister of Hydrocarbons and Mines, Mohamed Arkab, received today, Tuesday, at the headquarters of his ministerial department, a delegation from the Suhail Bahwan Holding Group, led by the Chairman of its Board of Directors, Sheikh Saad Suhail Bahwan.

A statement from the ministry stated that the meeting took place in the presence of the Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to Algeria, Saif Rashid Al-Badaei, and the President and Director General of Sonatrach, Noureddine Daoudi, in addition to a number of sector executives.

The two sides discussed the reality of the existing cooperation and partnership relations between the Sonatrach Group and the Suhail Bahwan Group, and ways to strengthen and expand them, especially in the fields of hydrocarbons and petrochemicals.

The talks also focused on fertilizer production projects, especially ammonia and urea, while examining the prospects for expanding the group’s investments in Algeria, especially in the fertilizer industry sector, in addition to exploring new investment opportunities in the fields of hydrocarbons and mining.

The meeting was an opportunity to present the reforms and facilities, as well as the new legal and regulatory frameworks approved by Algeria with the aim of improving the business climate, encouraging foreign investment, and strengthening strategic partnerships based on mutual benefit.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the two parties renewed their emphasis on the common will to deepen economic cooperation between Algeria and the Sultanate of Oman, by supporting and developing the partnership between Sonatrach and Suhail Bahwan Holding Group, which contributes to achieving sustainable development and strengthening economic relations between the two brotherly countries.
