The Minister of State received, Minister of Hydrocarbons and Mines, Mohammed Arkab, a delegation from the Suhail Bahwan Holding Group, headed by the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Saad Suhail Bahwan, in the presence of the Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to Algeria, Saif Rashid Al Badai, and the President and General Manager of Sonatrach, Noureddine Daoudi, along with tires from Ministry.
A statement from the Ministry, today, Tuesday, explained that the two parties reviewed during the meeting the reality of the existing cooperation and partnership relations between the Sonatrach Group and the Suhail Bahwan Holding Group, and ways to enhance and expand them, especially in the hydrocarbons and petrochemical sectors, with a focus on fertilizer production projects, such as ammonia and urea, and discussed the prospects for expanding the group’s investments in Algeria, especially in the field of the fertilizer industry.
According to the same source, the meeting was an opportunity to explore the investment opportunities available in Algeria, especially in sectors related to hydrocarbons and mines, where reforms and facilities were discussed, as well as the new legal and regulatory frameworks approved by Algeria, which aim to improve the business climate, encourage foreign investment, and strengthen strategic partnerships of mutual benefit.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the two sides reaffirmed their common will to enhance economic cooperation between Algeria and the Sultanate of Oman, especially by strengthening the existing partnership between the Sonatrach Group and the Suhail Bahwan Holding Group, which contributes to supporting sustainable development and consolidating economic relations between the two countries.
