Iran confirms the continuation of the open channel with an American official – Algerian Al-Hiwar newspaper

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman, Ismail Baghaei, confirmed today, Monday, that the communication channel between Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and the US President’s special representative, Steve Witkoff, “is still open,” and they exchange messages through it when needed, in addition to the official channel represented by the Swiss Embassy in Iran.

Baqaei pointed out that the recent American messages “reflect the lack of seriousness and lack of good faith of the other party,” stressing the continuation of political contacts with the Sultanate of Oman on bilateral and regional issues, including Yemen, Somalia, Lebanon, and Palestine.

The Iranian Foreign Minister stressed that his country possesses “conclusive documents” about the interference of the United States and Israel in terrorist activities inside Iran, while US President Donald Trump warned of the possibility of taking military measures if Iran crosses the “red line” of killing demonstrators.
