Sayhi emphasizes enhancing the quality of public service

The Minister of Labour, Employment and Social Security, Abdelhak Sayhi, emphasized the permanent field work to protect the rights of servientes and enhance the quality of public service.
The Ministry’s statement explained that Sayhi “held, on Tuesday, at the Ministry’s headquarters, a coordination meeting that brought together the frameworks of the central administration, devoted to assessing the extent of implementation of the directives issued, and determining the reality of public service and the level of handling citizens’ concerns,” where he stressed “permanent field work and strict vigilance to protect the rights of users and enhance the quality of public service.”
During this meeting, the Minister listened to presentations on the progress of work at the level of bodies and institutions under guardianship, and the extent of “progress made in embodying programs to improve public service, especially in its part related to digitization, simplifying procedures, and reducing the administrative burden on the citizen.”
Following the discussion, the Minister issued a set of “strict and clear instructions,” through which he stressed “regular field outings according to a precise work program, with specific goals, and exercising constant vigilance to monitor the performance of the sector’s facilities, and confronting any transgression that affects the rights of citizens,” as well as “ensuring the actual implementation of the instructions given under the title of improving public service and simplifying administrative procedures, with a focus on the quality of field performance and results.”
Saihi also stressed “immediately taking care of citizens’ concerns and addressing them within reasonable deadlines, strictly prohibiting citizens from asking to bring documents that can be exchanged between the various concerned bodies remotely, and taking immediate and deterrent measures against any negligence or transgression that harms the citizen’s interest or the quality of public service.”
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Minister stressed that “follow-up and evaluation will be field-based and permanent,” stressing that “improving public service and enhancing the social dimension of the state constitute a top priority,” and that “the Ministry will not tolerate any practices that affect citizen confidence or hinder the proper functioning of public facilities,” according to the same statement.
