Signing a cooperation protocol to train uncertified tourist guides – Algerian Al-Hiwar newspaper

The Minister of Tourism and Handicrafts, Houria Maddahi, accompanied by the Minister of Vocational Training and Education, Nassima Arhab, supervised the signing ceremony of a cooperation protocol aimed at training uncertified tourist guides.

On the occasion of this signing, which took place yesterday, Tuesday, Minister Madahi explained that this step falls within the national vision aimed at regulating professions and valuing human resources, based on the principle of linking vocational training with the needs of the labor market and investment, and enhancing national competencies in the service of sustainable economic development, in line with the economic strategy written by the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, to diversify the national economy and create new job positions.

She added that this legal framework will enable tour guides and escorts to carry out their activities with all professionalism, while enabling them to obtain recognized professional certificates in their field of specialization.

In the same context, the various trainings provided by the vocational training sector in the specializations directed to tourist guides were reviewed, and it was announced that training certificates would be granted to 592 local tour guides.

For her part, the Director General of the National Microcredit Management Agency touched on the digital platform launched by the agency for the benefit of tourist guides, which aims to enable them to enter the world of entrepreneurship and enhance their visibility with customers at the national and international levels.

It is noteworthy that, by the way, the text of the joint ministerial decision regarding the official installation of the sectoral committee was signed, with the actual launch of its work, with its first session being held during the next month of February.
