The Minister of State shared, Minister of Foreign Affairs And the national community abroad and African affairs, Ahmed Attaf, today, which was held via remote video lecture technology.
This meeting was devoted to discussing the recent developments witnessed Republic of Somalia Federalism, especially the step taken by the Israeli occupation to recognize the so-called “State of Somaliland.”
In the speech he delivered during this meeting, Minister Ahmed Attaf reiterated Algeria’s condemnation of the unilateral action taken by the Israeli occupation and its solidarity with brotherly Somalia.
He also pointed out that the Israeli occupation, after causing tragedies and chaos in the Middle East, is seeking to create a new source of tension and conflict in the Horn of Africa.
The Minister of State explained that Israeli action It constitutes a source of grave concern for Somalia, the African region, and the entire international community, because of the threat it poses to Somalia’s efforts to strengthen national unity, and because it may cause increased instability in the Horn of Africa region, in addition to being a violation of a well-established African principle of not violating inherited borders upon independence, and a violation of the basic principles of the international system and the United Nations Charter.
In conclusion, Minister Ahmed Attaf stressed that recent developments require a collective commitment based on strengthening African unity In the face of attempts to destabilize countries and undermine their sovereignty and territorial integrity, and the necessity of defending the established principles and basic rules on which both the African and international systems are based.
