The Minister of Communication appreciates the national competencies and scientific and pedagogical efforts

The Minister of Communication, Zouhair Bouamama, embarked on a series of consultations with officials of academic and media institutions and other actors from the university and academic community, in addition to experts and professionals in the field, based on his keenness to value national competencies and appreciate the scientific and pedagogical efforts made by these elites.

The Minister began his series of meetings by receiving, on Tuesday, at the Ministry’s headquarters, a number of officials from academic and training institutions, including Professors Abdelmalik Mazhouda, Director of the National School of Administration “Moulay Ahmed Medghari”, Khaled Laalaoui, Director of the National Higher School of Journalism and Media Sciences, Zakaria Wehbe, Director of the Higher School of Political Sciences, along with Malika Atwi, Dean of the Faculty of Media and Communication Sciences at the University of Algiers 3.

This initiative also falls within the framework of embodying the direction emphasized by the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, which calls for opening the way for national competencies to contribute to building and developing the media and communication system, and strengthening the partnership between the communication sector and relevant academic and research institutions.

These meetings constituted an opportunity to discuss ways and possibilities of joint cooperation, especially through organizing joint activities and events, and the contribution of academic institutions to the enrichment and success of the initiatives that the Ministry of Communication intends to launch during the current year, in a way that serves the development of media performance and the enhancement of professionalism and training in this vital sector.

On the other hand, the Minister of Communication, Zouhair Bouamama, received on Monday, at the ministry’s headquarters, the Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Algeria, Anwar Bek Akhmetov, who is the first ambassador of Kazakhstan to Algeria.

The meeting was an opportunity to discuss the reality and prospects of bilateral relations between the two countries in the field of media and communication, and to exchange visions on ways to establish mechanisms for bilateral cooperation between the Algerian Ministry of Communication and the Ministry of Information and Culture of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and between the media institutions in the two countries.

During the meeting, the two parties affirmed their keenness and willingness to make every effort to bring about the desired rapprochement between the two countries in the fields of media and communication, in line with the momentum that relations between Algeria and Kazakhstan have witnessed recently.
