Algerian customs seizes huge quantities of drugs and fortified materials during the third quarter of 2025 – Algerian Al-Hiwar newspaper

Today, Tuesday, the Algerian General Directorate of Customs announced the results of its operations during the third quarter of 2025, recording the seizure of significant quantities of drugs and subsidized consumables in various regions of the national territory.

The results, published in the latest issue of the “Customs” magazine, stated that the customs teams, in coordination with the security services, were able to seize:

3.587 million units of hallucinogenic tablets

More than 2,214 kg of processed kief

About 151,403 kg of cocaine

Customs authorities also recorded the seizure of 15,815 liters of alcoholic beverages, in addition to more than 107,000 cans and 4,513 kilograms of tobacco materials.

Regarding weapons and dangerous materials, six pieces of firearms and 623 units of ammunition were seized, in addition to more than 116,000 units of crackers and fireworks.

Within the framework of combating speculation and smuggling of subsidized materials to ensure market stability and protect citizens’ purchasing power, customs operations during the period July-September 2025 led to the seizure of:

41,580 kg and 12 thousand liters of fortified materials

74,934 liters of fuel

The General Directorate indicated that these operations are part of ongoing efforts to combat smuggling and cross-border crimes, and reflect the authorities’ keenness to protect citizens and stabilize markets.
