Khamenei defies Trump’s threats: Iran is steadfast and will not yield

Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei confirmed on Saturday that Iran “will not retreat before the enemy,” in a firm stance in response to US President Donald Trump’s threats to intervene to support protesters if they are exposed to gunfire.
The Iranian “Tasnim” agency reported that Khamenei explained, during his meeting with the families of the victims of what is known as the “12-day war” with the Zionist occupation,
The recent protests were mostly led by merchants who expressed legitimate economic demands,
In light of the decline in the value of the national currency and the turmoil in exchange rates, which affects the business climate.
The Iranian guide indicated that the authorities are working to address these imbalances.
At the same time, he warned against what he described as “enemy agents” exploiting the protests in order to destabilize the country’s security and raise slogans hostile to Iran and Islam.
Khamenei stressed that dialogue is possible with protesters, but unlikely with “rioters.”
Stressing that his country will not allow its security to be compromised, he added that Iran,
With the support of its people, it is able to thwart all attempts at pressure and threats.
These statements come after Trump posted on the “Truth Social” platform in which he said that the United States is “ready to act” if the situation develops inside Iran.
