The death of Muhammad Harbi… one of the most prominent historians of the Liberation Revolution – New Algeria

Muhammad Harbi, one of the most prominent historians of the liberation revolution and fighters of the national movement, and a member of the National Liberation Front Federation in France, died today, Thursday, at the age of 92, after a severe illness that confined him to bed for several years.

The historian, diplomat, and fighter, Muhammad Harbi, was a prominent and effective member in the Evian negotiations and a minister in the interim government with Farhat during the liberation revolution. Then, after independence, he was appointed a minister and advisor to President Ahmed Ben Bella.

He immigrated to Europe and studied at several universities, including a professorship at the Sorbonne University, and then continued his path by writing many books on the history of the revolution.
