The National Hajj and Umrah Office, in coordination with Air Algerie, reminded all winners of the Hajj lottery for the 1447 AH/2026 AD season of the necessity of compulsory declaration of their health condition to the competent medical committee, in order to ensure the safety of pilgrims and in line with the health requirements approved by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The Bureau explained in a statement today, Wednesday, that this measure aims to ensure the performance of Hajj rituals in the best conditions, as those concerned must ensure that they are free of some medical conditions that may pose a threat to their health or hinder the performance of the rituals, such as kidney failure that requires dialysis, advanced heart failure, chronic lung diseases that require the use of oxygen, advanced cirrhosis of the liver, severe neurological or psychological diseases, aging accompanied by dementia, pregnancy in the last three months or high-risk pregnancy, active infectious diseases, In addition to active cancer or cases undergoing aggressive treatment.
The National Hajj and Umrah Office confirmed that failure to declare one of the aforementioned health conditions is considered a personal responsibility, and exposes its owner to being deprived of performing Hajj rituals, stressing the importance of full compliance with these instructions in order to preserve the health and safety of pilgrims.
This warning comes within the framework of the awareness-raising campaign launched by the Bureau under the slogan “Your health is a condition for your Hajj,” with the aim of enhancing health awareness among pilgrims and ensuring an organized and safe Hajj season.
