The death of the Mujahid Ammar Ghobash at the age of 97 – Algerian Al-Hiwar newspaper

Mujahid Ammar Ghobash died yesterday evening, Monday, at the University Hospital Center in Batna, at the age of 97, after a struggle with an incurable illness, according to what was reported by the Directorate of Mujahideen and Rights Defenders.

The deceased was born on November 16, 1928 in the city of Naqaws, and joined the ranks of the Liberation Revolution in 1957.

He participated in many battles and ambushes against the French colonial forces in the historic first state. He was arrested at the beginning of 1961 and remained in prison until October of the same year.

The body of the Mujahid Ammar Ghobash will be buried this afternoon in the Naqaws cemetery.

For his part, the Minister of Mujahideen and Rights Defenders, Abdelmalek Tashrift, offered his condolences to the family of the deceased,

Stressing: “With hearts that believe in God’s will and destiny, I received with great sadness the news of the death of the Mujahid Ammar Ghobash, a member of the National Liberation Army,”

Adding that, in his name and in the name of all the frameworks and members of the Mujahideen sector and those with rights, he extends his sincere condolences and sincere feelings of sympathy to the family of the deceased and to the members of the revolutionary family.
