The UAE responds to a Saudi statement regarding Yemen: A call for restraint and enhanced coordination

The UAE expressed its regret at what was stated in a Saudi statement that it considered inaccurate, stressing that coordination with Saudi Arabia in the Yemeni file continues and is based on the strategic partnership and common regional security.

It stressed its rejection of any accusations related to pushing Yemeni parties to carry out military operations, explaining that the aforementioned shipment did not include weapons and that the vehicles allocated to the UAE forces remained in the port of Mukalla according to a prior understanding with Saudi Arabia.

The UAE stressed that its position focuses on self-restraint, supporting the paths of calm in Hadhramaut and Al-Mahra, protecting civilians, and preventing a slide towards an escalation that allows extremist groups to exploit security vacuums.

The UAE Foreign Ministry called for strengthening coordination between the concerned parties to support a comprehensive political solution and end the Yemeni crisis.
