Continuing dynamics of university entrepreneurship

As part of the university’s support for its role as an engine of creativity and wealth creation, the Entrepreneurship Development Centers for Higher Education Institutions (CDE) announced the acceptance and funding of 89 entrepreneurial projects submitted by students from various Algerian universities.
The projects extend across various fields, including health, pharmacy, industry, agriculture, services, construction and public works, tourism, communications, textiles, and manufacturing industries, which reflects the great diversity of students’ ideas and their interest in transforming them into practical projects.
Results of project selection and financing committees
The CSVF project financing selection and approval committees showed the following results:
Mustafa Istambouli University – Camp: 17 projects as follows: agriculture (8 projects), food industry (6), health (1), public works (1), and textiles (1).
Mohamed Lamine Debaghin University – Setif 2: 4 projects were accepted in agriculture (1), industry (2), and services (1).
Higher School of Commerce: One project was accepted in pharmacy.
Djilali Liabes University – Sidi Bel Abbes: 4 projects were accepted: in pharmacy (1), food and confectionery industries (2), agriculture and livestock breeding (1).
University of Tissemsilt: One project was accepted in the medical field.
University of M’sila: Two projects were accepted in health services.
University of May 8, 1945 – Guelma: 4 projects were accepted in the manufacture of semi-pharmaceutical products (1), the manufacture of industrial ice cream (1), tourism and travel (1), and the installation of electrical and telephone networks (1).
University of Setif 1 – Farhat Abbas: 5 projects were accepted in health services (2), construction works (1), cosmetics industry (1), and semi-pharmaceuticals industry (1).
Houari Boumediene University of Science and Technology: A project was accepted at the Dental Surgery Clinic.
University of Tlemcen: 5 projects were accepted in agriculture (2), services (2), and industry (1).
University of Laghouat: 4 projects were accepted: in the histopathology analysis laboratory (1), gynecology clinic (1), pharmacy (1), and agricultural project (1).
Ahmed Zabana University – Relizane: Two projects were accepted in the manufacturing industry (1) and health (1).
University of Biskra: 3 projects were accepted: in services (2) and industry (1).
University of Tiaret: One project was accepted for public works.
University Center – Al-Baidh: 3 projects were accepted: in clinical psychology (1), medical field (1), and aluminum carpentry (1).
University of Souk Ahras: One project was accepted in the Medical Analysis Laboratory.
University of the Valley: 6 projects were accepted: in agriculture (3), services (2), and industry (1).
University of Bejaia: 6 projects were accepted: in health (3), services (2), construction and public works (1).
University of Constantine 2 – Abdelhamid Mehri: Two projects were accepted in traditional industry (1) and pharmacy (1).
Constantine University 1 – Mentouri Brothers: One project was accepted in industry (embroidery and sewing).
University of Tipaza: 6 projects were accepted: in medicine (2), services (1), construction and public works (1), textile (1), and industry (1).
University of Khenchela: One project in agriculture was accepted.
Yahya Fares University – Medea: Two projects in pharmacy were accepted.
Skikda University: 5 projects were accepted: in services (3), agriculture (1), and health (1).
University of Blida 1: Two projects were accepted: in services and technical monitoring.
From the above, it is clear that the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research is keen to motivate students and accompany them in moving from a mere innovative idea to an implementable project.
It highlights the commitment of Algerian universities to providing a stimulating environment for innovation and entrepreneurship, in order to enhance the knowledge economy and entrepreneurship.
This policy, which the Ministry adopted in implementation of the President of the Republic’s program, also emphasizes the importance of universities as laboratories for creativity and entrepreneurship, and encourages students to enroll in courses that guarantee them the acquisition of practical experience and actual entrepreneurial experience.
