The Minister and Governor of Algiers, Abdel Nour Rabhi, made an inspection visit to the project to complete the terrace of the Masmaka Port Park, as well as the rehabilitation of Martyrs’ Square, according to what was reported on Sunday in a state statement.
The same source explained that this project “aims to connect Martyrs’ Square with the Masmaka Port Park, which is undergoing continuous work to open all its parts, and this is after opening the first part to citizens, passing through the lower corridors and the commercial center.”
During his inspection of the project, Minister Rabhi, in the presence of the President and General Director of the Kosidar Complex, reviewed “the ongoing works to complete a balcony overlooking the park and a parking lot that can accommodate 400 vehicles.” He also listened to a presentation on the project to develop Martyrs’ Square, which “has an area of 7,986 square meters and will be completely rehabilitated, with the completion of glass upper walkways over the archaeological remains to enable visitors to explore them, in addition to two electric elevators and escalators, to connect… The square in Masmaka Port Park.
The presentation included “projects for preparing various spaces and parks, all the way to the Mustafa Bountah parking lot, where entertainment spaces and restaurants will be built on the space gained after the demolition of the buildings and warehouses that were present in the area, extending from the Admiralty towards the center of the city of Algiers,” according to the same source.
On the other hand, and in continuation of the campaign to clean health institutions launched by the state of Algiers in coordination with the Ministry of Health, last Saturday, December 20, 2025, the activities of the campaign continued this morning, Saturday, December 27, 2025, through various hospital centers and institutions in the state’s territory.
The campaign took place under the supervision of the delegated governors, and with the broad participation of various state public institutions, in coordination with the Director of Health for the State of Algiers and the directors of the concerned hospital institutions.
The initiative aims to improve the surroundings of health institutions and ensure the cleanliness of the internal and external spaces of hospital institutions, which will reflect positively on the conditions of receiving patients and the quality of services provided.
