The Ministry of Justice organizes meetings to combat human trafficking – Algerian Al-Hiwar newspaper

Today, Sunday, judges in the capital held study meetings on combating human trafficking, organized by the Ministry of Justice in cooperation with the Center for Legal and Judicial Research, according to an official statement from the Ministry.

These meetings, which will continue until Tuesday, focused on the topic “The legal framework for combating human trafficking and standards for protecting victims,” reflecting the judicial authorities’ keenness to develop their legal and practical tools to address this phenomenon.

About 100 participants are participating in these activities, including judges, police officers, and members of the National Committee for Preventing and Combating Trafficking in Persons, in addition to experts and executives from the central administration and researchers from the Center for Legal and Judicial Research.

The meetings aim to strengthen the capabilities of judges and judicial police departments in combating human trafficking crimes, with a focus on using modern investigation and investigation mechanisms. It also aims to identify victims through a comprehensive approach based on preventing crime and deterring those involved in it, while ensuring the protection and care of victims.

This initiative also constitutes a platform to enhance national and international cooperation and coordination in combating human trafficking, while emphasizing commitment to human rights in all legal procedures and preventive measures.
