Algeria condemns the Zionist occupation’s recognition of the territory of Somaliland – Algerian Al-Hiwar newspaper

Today, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement condemning in the strongest terms the Zionist occupation authorities’ recognition of the territory of Somaliland, considering the step illegal and constituting a serious violation of the sovereignty, territorial integrity and territorial integrity of the Federal Republic of Somalia.

Algerian diplomacy emphasized that this recognition represents a direct threat to peace, security and stability in the region, as it has serious repercussions on regional balances.

The statement added that this rejected and condemned action is a flagrant violation of the principles enshrined in the United Nations Charter, and also contradicts the founding principles of the African continental system based on respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of states.

At the conclusion of its statement, Algeria renewed its full and steadfast support for the Federal Republic of Somalia in the face of this direct threat, affirming its solidarity with it regarding the risks this decision entails for its security and stability.
