The Ministry of National Defense published in a statement, on Wednesday evening, the weekly operational tally of the People’s National Army during the period from 10 to 16 December 2025 across the entire national territory.
The same statement stated, “In the field of combating terrorism, detachments of the People’s National Army arrested (10) members of support for terrorist groups, during separate operations across the national territory.”
The Ministry of Defense statement added the weekly operational outcome, that in the fight against organized crime, “joint detachments of the People’s National Army, in coordination with various security services during operations across the military regions, arrested (38) drug dealers and thwarted attempts to bring (4) quintals and (92) kilograms of processed kif across the border with Morocco, and (1,016,772) hallucinogenic tablets were also seized.”
The statement continued, “Detachments of the People’s National Army arrested (306) people and seized (53) vehicles, (336) electric generators, (173) pressure hammers, and (3) metal detectors, in addition to quantities of a mixture of gold ore, stones, and equipment used in illegal gold prospecting operations.”
Thirteen other people were also arrested, and two (2) Kalashnikov machine guns, one (1) automatic pistol, (9) hunting rifles, (62,245) liters of fuel, in addition to (48) quintals of tobacco and (19) tons of food materials intended for smuggling and speculation, were seized during separate operations, according to the same source.
The statement indicated that the coast guards thwarted illegal immigration attempts on our national coasts and rescued (246) people who were on board traditional-made boats, and (313) illegal immigrants of different nationalities were arrested across the national territory.
