Civil protection records a horrific outcome in traffic accidents

Civil Protection services revealed that 1238 traffic accidents were recorded, within a week, behind 24 dead and 1429 wounded, while 1109 different fires were extinguished, as well as 456 people rescued in danger.

A statement of the General Directorate of Civil Protection stated that during the period between 21 to 27 September 2025, the civil protection units recorded 24,408 intervention, and this is due to receiving distress calls by citizens, these interventions included various fields of civil protection activities, whether related to traffic accidents, home accidents, health evacuation putting out fires and covering the security services for various demonstrations.

The protection units in relation to health evacuation operations carried out 13964 intervention, where 13463 wounded and patient were evacuated to hospitals, while the protection units in the context of traffic accidents recorded 2174 intervention for 1238 traffic accidents that led to the death of 24 people and 1429 others were treated and transferred to hospital centers, and the heaviest toll recorded in the state of Mila with death 3 People at the scene of accidents and injured 49 others, following 40 traffic accidents.

The Civil Protection Units also carried out 1586 intervention that allowed 1109 fires, including industrial home and various fires, the most important of which were in the state of Algeria, 128 fires, Blida 65 fires and an alienation of 52 fires, while the same units in the field of different operations recorded 6684 intervention to save 456 people in a state of danger and cover 5674 ambulances.

On the other hand, the beaches and recreation agency made 520 intervention, which allowed 212 people from drowning and certain death, as well as providing first aid to 294 people, in addition to transferring 14 people to health centers, with 3 drowning deaths in the sea as well as 1 death in water complexes.
