Algeria is at the top of the empowerment of young people locally and internationally

The deputy of the National People’s Assembly, Ibrahim Haj Henna, affirmed that the political empowerment of youth in Algeria in light of the constitutional guarantees, embodied by the obligations of the President of the Republic, Abdel Majid Taboun, the 54, especially those related to the strong and effective participation of youth in political life in terms of granting the decision of the decision to them.
This came during the participation of Haj Henna, on Monday, accompanied by Representative Khawla Talbi in a session on the occasion of the International Youth Day, entitled “Platforms and Initiatives to Empire Youth Politically”, held through the technology of lecture remotely, within the framework of the empowerment series of the International Parliamentary Union and the initiative of democratic participation of women and youth.
During his interference in the works of this session, Ibrahim Haj Henna praised the valuable interventions presented by international experts and specialists, with the aim of empowering young people politically, and exchanging experiences on youth networks and capacity -building initiatives.
Haj Henna explained in the same context, that the enactment of some new laws contributed to its role in promoting national values, national conscience, civil sense and national solidarity among young people, through the establishment of both the National Observatory for Civil Society and the Supreme Council of Youth.
In turn, MP Khawla Talibi highlighted the role of the Youth Parliamentary Network in the National People’s Assembly, which was established in December 2023, which includes 95 deputies, including 11 women, and the spokeswoman indicated that the two most important goals set by the internal system of the parliamentary network are to enhance the political participation of youth, in addition to accompanying efforts to integrate this group in social life.
At the end of their interventions, the two deputies, Khawla Talbi and Ibrahim Haj Hhani, touched on the genocide to which both young people and women in the Gaza Strip are exposed, in light of the inhuman blockade applied by the Israeli entity, as well as the barbarism, horror and brutality of the occupation towards the Palestinians, as it performs daily massacres by using all means of hunger, thirst, weapon and insult to achieve its goals.
During this meeting, the interventions touched on the challenges that hinder the empowerment of young people in politics, and the interventions were mainly centered on: showing youth platforms and knowledge building initiatives, exchanging experiences on youth networks and capacity -building, as well as identifying the mechanisms and strategies necessary to sustain and enhance mutual support among young people.
