Boujemaa honors the imprisoned people who excel in the final exams in Tipaza

The Minister of Justice Hafez Al -Akhtam, Lotfi Boujemaa, supervised the penal institution of Al -Qalaeah (Tipaza), a ceremony honoring the first outstanding prisoners in the baccalaureate and medium education certificates of the June 2025 course.

In a speech to him, by the way, Minister Boujemaa noted the noticeable rise in the number of successful people in the baccalaureate for the academic season 2024-2025 compared to the last season, estimated at 11.75 percent, where the baccalaureate certificate obtains 4.441 inmates of a total of 5,907 candidates, which represents a success rate of 75.18 percent.

He considered that these results translate the success of the policy adopted by the state in the field of rehabilitation, rehabilitation and reintegration, thanks to a few educational, training, religious, sports and cultural programs, with the contribution of a number of ministerial sectors.

With regard to the intermediate education certificate, penal institutions recorded the success of 2.268 inmates from a total of 4.164 candidates, a success rate of more than 54 percent, which highlights, according to the minister, the important position occupied by various education and training programs in the prison sector, which counted 45,461 inmates registered in various educational programs of literacy and distance education to the three educational phases and higher education.

He added that the “increasing turnout” of these programs contributed to the high number of successful people who are imprisoned in various exams and obtaining certificates in vocational and craftsmanship, and this in turn allowed the registration of the high number of beneficiaries of the conditional release mechanism that reached from January to July 13.994 imprisoned.

He stated that the number of beneficiaries of conditional uniqueness during the year 2024 amounted to 27.197, stressing the “efficacy” of this mechanism in embodying the policy of reintegration and combating the phenomenon of oud for the crime.

The honoring ceremony witnessed the presence of the National Commissioner for the Rights of the Children and its Promotion, Maryam Sharafi, the head of the National Observatory of Civil Society, Ibtisam Hamalawi, and representatives of the ministries of education, professional training and education, youth, sports, religious affairs and endowments as well as the sector’s frames.

The ceremony for honoring the first outstanding persons in the certificates of intermediate education and baccalaureate from the imprisoned was known for organizing various activities, such as theatrical performances and poetic and lyrical links, as well as honoring the penal institutions that have the first three ranks.
