Madal: The issuance of an executive decree to support and promote the economic integration of women producing soon – Algerian dialogue

The Director of Family Protection and its Promotion at the Ministry of Solidarity, Family and Women’s Issues, Mr. Mohamed Madal, affirmed that supporting and accompanying women is one of the strategic priorities of the Ministry, embodying the directives of the President of the Republic during the periodic meetings of the Council of Ministers, which stressed the need to provide the necessary facilities and configurations for women in order to facilitate their access to the world of contracting and effective contribution to the national economic cycle.
In this context, Mr. Medal revealed, upon hosting, this Wednesday, in the “Al -Sabah Guest” program for the first radio channel that the ministry has finished preparing the executive decree for financing mini -projects for the benefit of women who are at home, which will enter into force as soon as the completion of legal arrangements and publishing it in the Official Gazette, explaining that this procedure came in the context of embodying the obligations of the higher authorities in the country by accompanying women. The same official pointed out that the new decree seeks to address a number of shortcomings, most notably the organization of the process of marketing women’s products through institutional channels such as hotels, traditional industry rooms, seasonal exhibitions as Ramadan markets, and even international exhibitions, through partnership agreements with various bodies and sectors, including industry and tourism.
Financial support to create small projects
Mr. Madal explained that the support allocated within this device ranges between 80 thousand and 100 thousand Algerian dinars, directed to the acquisition of the basic equipment and equipment necessary to launch projects, according to the peculiarities and inheritance of each region.
Within this context, he stressed that this support is not considered a loan, but rather a direct subsidy provided by the state, through the directorates of social activity and solidarity at the state level, noting that the proposed program has an economic and social nature, and aims to enable families with non -income or limited income to launch mini and productive projects, especially in remote and desert areas, which enhances their income sources in a sustainable manner.
Conditions and procedures for benefit
Regarding the conditions of benefit, the Director of Family Protection explained that the procedures will be simplified, and it is required that the beneficiary be the head of a family or a woman who is supporting her family, at least 19 years old, without an income source, and has professional or professional skills or qualifications, and said that the nomination doors will open through social activity directorates or a special digital platform that will be announced by the ministry in a timely manner.
Mr. Madal stressed that the decree clearly determines the areas of supportable activity, and includes a handicraft such as the industry of sweets, doughs, sewing, weaving, embroidery and wool, in addition to traditional industries such as leather, wood, glass, and agricultural industries such as drying, extracting oils and animal breeding.
Adding that these activities were chosen in line with the peculiarities of the regions and the tendencies of women, to ensure their funding and success.
State and local committees to ensure transparency and credibility
To ensure transparency in granting this support, a state committee will be established by the Director of Social Activity and Solidarity, with the participation of representatives of various local sectors, to ensure the study of files and their compliance with legal conditions, as well as assessing the economic feasibility of projects.
The neighborhood committees of solidarity will also play a field and pivotal role through investigations and insults to ensure the social status of project owners and their eligibility to benefit.
Partnerships in the field of training to enhance effectiveness
At the end of his speech, Madal announced that the ministry is in the process of concluding agreements in the field of training with the National Agency for the Support of the Microcity, the Ministry of Knowledge Economy and the mini institutions, and the Ministry of Tourism, to frame the beneficiaries of women in the fields of project management, marketing, and expanding the scope of their products locally and internationally, and in parallel with this will be launched at the national level to encourage women, especially in rural areas, on Evil about this program.
