Clear makes an inspection visit to the Algerian National Agency for Microcredit Management – Al-Hiwar

The Minister of Knowledge Economy, Emerging Enterprises and Micro-enterprises, Mr. Noureddine Waheed, on Monday made an inspection visit to the headquarters of the General Directorate of the National Microcredit Management Agency in Algiers, as part of following up on the agency’s activities, according to a statement by the ministry.

The same source explained that Mr. Waheed inspected the various offices of the agency, where he listened to the employees’ concerns and learned about the nature of their work in the various departments.

By the way, the Director General of the Agency, Ms. Suad bin Jameel, gave a comprehensive presentation to the Minister on the way the Agency works, including an introductory overview and the most important figures related to it, both in terms of human and financial resources. It also touched on the sectors in which the agency contributes to supporting activities within the framework of the microloan, in a way that enhances economic and social development.

Mr. Waheed stressed the importance of “accelerating the process of digitizing the agency’s services, calling for enabling beneficiaries to access all stages of accompaniment in a digital and effective manner.” He also stressed the need to provide innovative solutions that meet the needs of activities within the framework of the microloan and keep pace with technological developments.

This visit – according to the same source – falls within “the ministry’s strategy aimed at enhancing transparency and efficiency in the agency’s performance, and improving the quality of services provided to project owners, in a way that enhances the business climate and helps young people benefit from microloans.”

The Minister also stressed “the importance of adopting innovative solutions to promote the products of loan beneficiaries, in order to enhance export opportunities, in line with the directives of the higher authorities to promote exports outside the hydrocarbon sector.”

The statement indicated that the minister “appreciated the agency’s efforts in adopting the digital collection of loans, and urged the generalization of the use of electronic payment to facilitate operations and bring the agency’s services closer to the citizen.”

At the conclusion of his visit, Mr. Waheed expressed his appreciation for the efforts made by the Director General of the National Microcredit Management Agency and its employees and management, stressing “the Ministry’s commitment to continuing support and accompaniment to ensure the achievement of the set goals,” according to the same source.
