Signing of a cooperation agreement between the Ministry of Health and the High Prefecture of Digitization – New Algeria

The Minister of Health, Professor Mohamed Siddiq Ait Messaoudane, signed this evening, Thursday, December 4, 2025, together with the High Prefectural Minister of Digitalisation, Meriem Ben Mouloud, a cooperation agreement providing for placing the national cloud computing services of the Algerian National Center for Digital Services at the disposal of the health sector, within the framework of accelerating the path of digitization of the health system and enhancing its readiness.
This agreement aims to organize and establish mechanisms for utilizing national cloud computing resources for the benefit of the health sector, allowing the development of innovative health digital platforms, hosting sensitive databases in spaces secured with high standards, and enabling health structures to work within an integrated and secure digital environment.
In his speech during the signing ceremony, the Minister of Health stressed that benefiting from cloud computing services constitutes an important step in the path of digitizing the health sector, and it also falls within the framework of the government’s efforts aimed at developing the public health service and providing a modern technical structure capable of raising performance and improving care for patients and citizens in general.
In this context, the Minister of Health expressed his great appreciation for the efforts made by the High Governorate for Digitization, led by Mrs. Meriem Ben Mouloud, appreciating the hard work and continuous technical accompaniment that it provides to the ministerial sectors, especially the health sector, in order to embody the digital transformation, stressing that this cooperation and accompaniment constitutes a pivotal element in the success of digitization projects and the establishment of an integrated national digital infrastructure.
The Minister also indicated that adopting the national cloud space will enable the sector to accelerate the digitization of various health platforms, such as the platform for the patient’s electronic file and family management, in addition to authenticating certificates and other digital solutions.
For her part, the High Prefectural Minister for Digitization stated that this agreement constitutes an important milestone in the path of digital transformation of the health sector, stressing the commitment of the High Prefecture for Digitization to accompany the health sector and provide all the technical and institutional means necessary for the success of this path.
During this meeting, a technical presentation was presented by the Algerian National Center for Digital Services, during which the capabilities provided by the national cloud system and the prospects it provides for the health sector in developing its digital systems were reviewed.
